Gaptek, gampang lupa dan kurang fokus menjadi penyakit sepertinya, ada hal menarik dari Search Engine tools seperti Shema.org, Google RIch Snippets dan sebagainya lhadalah kenapa setelah 6 bulan baru liat. Dasar. Shema.org akan menjadi acuan untuk Bing, Yahoo dan Google sendiri, serta search engine lainnya seperti Yandex untuk menampilkan hasil pencarian yang lebih rinci dan memudahkan pemakainya mendapatkan informasi tentang hal yang dicarinya.

Dalam Blog Google sendiri sudah diposting pada bulan Juni 2011 dan judulnya pun jelas Introducing schema.org: Search engines come together for a richer web. Sebagai penggembira cukup merasa pusing juga karena nggak tahu apa maunya. Sepertinya memang schema.org bagaimanapun ini menarik meski masih beta katanya, tapi kalau tahu-tahu dipakai... bisa gelagapan. Di posting itupun mereka hanya ngomong:

With schema.org, site owners and developers can learn about structured data and improve how their sites appear in major search engines. The site aims to be a one stop resource for webmasters looking to add markup to their pages.
Search engines have been working independently to support structured markup for a few years now. We introduced rich snippets to Google search in 2009 to help people find better summaries of reviews and people, and since that time we’ve expanded to new kinds of rich snippets, including recipes and events. We’ve been thrilled to see content creators across the web—from stubhub.com to allrecipes.com—add markup to their pages, and today we’re able to show rich snippets in search results more than 10 times as often as when we started two years ago.

Rich snippets help users determine more quickly if a particular web page has the information they're interested in. We've previously introduced rich snippets for shopping, recipes, reviews,video, and events, and most recently music.
Before you install a software application, users might want to check out what others think about it, and how much it costs. We are pleased to announce that starting today, you’ll be able to get this information right in search results.
Here's an example of what an application snippet looks like.
Jebul, ternyata... kalo hasil pencarian search engine bisa seperti itu... betapa sebagai manusia yang sedang mencari dan membutuhkan informasi akan terasa lebih nyaman dan terbantu.
Bagaimana caranya?
Secara teknis mungkin hanya para tukang web yang membutuhkannya. Sebagai user pemakai dan hanya postang-posting saja tentu saja nggak berguna. Namun jika melihat snippets seperti itu, siapa yang nggak pengin?. Google pun katanya sudah support dengan tipe-tipe jenis data seperti reviews, people profiles, products, business listings, recipes, dan events. Hanya tinggal bagaimana caranya membuat struktur dalam penulisan di node saja, dalam jenis konten tentunya ada hal-hal yang perlu di fiks kan seperti property untuk judul, property teks bio atau body field.

RIch Snippets ini meskipun bagus tidak ada jaminan akan menjadikan kualitas Search Engine Optimization - SEO menjadi memiliki ranking lebih baik, dan sama sekali tidak ada kaitannya.
